    Shane Millard - Church/Club Leader

    Experience:
    Graduate of Georgia State University – B.S. in Recreation Management (2004); Masters in Christian Education (2008)

    Personal Fact:
    Shane grew up in a Godly and sports household; he played basketball, baseball and ran cross-country in high school. Shane while playing basketball in high school and recreationally has coached many recreational basketball teams over the years and helped coached many basketball camps. Shane is married to his wife Shannon for 11+ years and they have four children: Brooklyn, Hudson, Stetson and Jordan; the family resides in East Cobb. In his free time, Shane enjoys coaching, exercising and hanging out with his family. He is passionate about impacting athletes lives through sports.

    Experience:
    - Played high school and men’s league basketball in the North Atlanta area for over 30 years. - Over 20 years of coaching experience including Upward, East Marietta, Wheeler Feeder, YBOA, AAU and numerous other tournament/exposure organizations. Had the pleasure of coaching athletes who went on to play college basketball and a few who are playing professionally overseas- Developed and coordinated basketball skills camps, and provided one-on-one training for middle and high school athletes.. - Upward Stars Director and coach for the last two years.

    Personal Fact:
    Upward Stars provides us an opportunity to be a positive influence in the lives of student athletes. In addition to simply coaching basketball, we get to build relationships that allow us to mentor, encourage and most importantly, share and show them the love of Jesus Christ.
